Private Lake fishing requires NO License!
This lake sits at the elevation of 3,600 feet and is 37 acres. It is stocked yearly with large brown, with some reach 10 pounds, and rainbows up to 5.5 pounds.
More than 65 percent of the fish are carryovers, averaging seven pounds and 22-to26 inches long.
There are also brook and tiger trout.
The lake is keep at 55 to 75 fish per acre.
Fly fishers do well with mayflies, leaches, chironomids, damsels and dragonflies.
Fishing techniques can be as varied as the variety of food available to the fish. Wet flies, dry’s, nymphs and streamers can all be productive at certain times on this pristine lake.
Some recommended patterns are black and olive woolly buggers, damsel, pheasant tail and hare’s ear nymphs, a variety of calibaetis, sedge patterns, and dry damsels. On warmer days, fish can bite hoppers and beetles.
There is a limited of seven rods on the water per day and it is not fished every day.
This is a great little lake to fish with just a few of your close friends. Bring your pram or pontoon boat. No motors allowed.
There is a small cabin that sleeps six on the lake and an aluminum boat.
The lake is very popular in the spring and fall, so make your reservation early.
I shut down during the hottest time of the year, so the fish are not stressed and remain strong and healthy.
